Angelo and the marching band....

Angelo was in the Farmingdale Memorial Day Parade this past Monday!! He plays the clarinet and his school was 1 0f 2 picked to be the marching bands in the parade. It was great. I just can't believe these kids are only 11-13 years old!!

You see Anthony zooming in on Angelo and wouldn't you know it, a bug had just flown into his face, but he starts playing again right after that. I followed the parade right back to the school. The rest of the parade just stops and everyone leaves, but being the school is only a few more blocks away, they keep playing all by themselves back to school. It was nice to see the neighbors coming out of their houses to see the lone band marching down the block!!

Aluminum Foil.....

Someone sent me an e-mail about aluminum foil. It told about how for so many years the person never knew about these little tabs that are on the ends of the boxes, they are there to hold the roll in the box so when you are rolling out your desired amount of foil or plastic wrap(they have them too) the roll doesn't fall out of the box. I just had to look and sure enough they are there!! I never knew this either. Did you guys know? Let me know....

Congratulations Anthony!!!!

Anthony applied to only 2 colleges, and got accepted to both of them!! Now he can decide which one he wants to attend. I know he's leaning towards Farmingdale State University. It really is the better of the 2 schools for Automotive. They have the 2 year course, but then they have an additional 2 years to finish off for a bachelor's degree!! We are SO proud of Anthony. He has done so well throughout his high school and vocational school years. The next couple of years are going to be so exciting for us all!!
